I have always been up for a challenge. As a mountain biker I will be well out of my comfort zone on a road bike, as believe it or not I’d rather be throwing myself down a gnarly mountain than cruising on a smooth road for miles and miles. I think it’s going to take me ages!
I’m a mum of 2 little boys aged 2 & 4 so juggling life, work and hobbies is a daily struggle but I wouldn’t have it another way.
Before becoming a mum, I played a lot of sport – mainly water polo but also triathlon, netball and mountain biking. Since having the boys I haven’t been able to commit as much time to sport as I’d like.

What motivated you to take up the CarTen Challenge?
I signed up to CarTen whilst giving Nav his Flu Jab. After chatting about bikes he mentioned it to me and I didn’t really think about it, and here I am, about to attempt 100 miles on an uncomfortable bike seat, after next to no road bike training for over a year!
