Trefor to Llanymynech
Len will be departing from the Telford Inn in Trefor at 07.30 on June 25th
Len will start day three from Trefor, first crossing the Dee looking up at the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct before passing through Canal Side and climbing up the side of Fron Isaf.
The path passes Chirk Castle in the distance before dropping down to the banks of the River Ceiriog.
Len will cross the river before climbing again and walking along the border between Enlgand and Wales over farmland, passing the old site of the Oswestry Racecourse and following the River Morda from above.
The trail then drops into the flat land around Trefonen before slowly climbing again to the summit of Moelydd Uchaf. The path then winds through the farmland around Nantmawr and Porth-y-Waen before climbing up to a wooded hill.
From here, Len will descend past the Llanymynech Rocks into the town of Llanymynech itself, which is where he will stay before continuing on Day 4.
The walk will end at The Cross Keys in Llanymynech. We estimate that the walk will take 6 hours, 25 minutes. However, this is subject to change.
