Hay-on-Wye to Pandy
Len will depart from the Kilverts Inn at 09.00 on June 30th
Beginning in Hay-on-Wye, Len will start day eight with a steep, long climb up into the Black Mountains.
The trail climbs upwards past Hay Bluff and then follows Hatterall Ridge along the Anglo-Welsh Border.
The ridge is the highest point of the entire walk and will afford Len and his companions stunning views across the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons.
The path passes above the ruins of Llantony Priory before descending to the town of Pandy.
Len will rest here before continuing his journey on day 9.
The walk will end at The Park Hotel in Pandy. We estimate the walk will take about 6 hours, 40 mins. However, this is subject to change.
