Children’s Cancer Care – Sierra Leone (via Cardiff and Vale Health Charity)
This initiative is part of the Health Boards commitment to Wales for Africa programme a partnership between the Welsh Government, Health Board staff, and expert charities . The charity supports children with cancer and their families by providing life-saving treatment, equipment and medical expertise to some of the most disadvantaged groups in our society .
As this initiative is intricately linked with Cardiff and Vale UHB’s charity, donations will be remitted to the Health Charity, which will be in-turn remitted to the Children’s Cancer Care in Sierra Leone.
Improving Chances is a non-denominational registered charity which supports mothers and children in Fort Portal and surrounding districts in rural Western Uganda. The Charity has supported the development of a maternity and children’s hospital in Rwibaale and aims to help children disabled by disease or birth injury by supporting the activities of the Good Shepherd School for children with special needs in Fort Portal.
