The Challenge

About The CarTen Challenge

Having started with just four riders in 2004, this year’s CARTEN100 will see more than 2,500 riders take on the challenge of cycling 100 miles from Cardiff to Tenby in one day.

Over the course of the event, participants will burn around 5,000 calories on a route that will see us ascend a total of 5,709 feet – that’s just shy of being equal to climbing Pen-y-fan… twice!

We’ll be leaving City Hall in Cardiff from 7.30am, and will take in the Vale of Glamorgan, Bridgend, Port Talbot, Swansea, Llanelli and Carmarthen, before crossing the finish line at Tudor Square in Tenby. We’d love to see you along the way for some much needed support.

As you can see, we’ve got quite the challenge in store, but your generosity will give us all the motivation we need to cross that finish line and raise money for those all-important charities
